Entrepreneurial Journal

This week in BUS110, I learned many ideas about becoming an entrepreneurial hero. The readings and videos showed me that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business. It is about living with intent and building a meaningful life. Jeff Sandefer’s Living Life as an Entrepreneurial Hero taught me to dream big and accept that life is hard but full of opportunities. I liked his idea of choosing good people to walk with me on this journey. Surrounding myself with honest and talented friends will help me grow.

Reid Hoffman’s The Start-Up of You made me think about my personal brand. He says I am like a start-up, always learning and adapting. I want to invest in my skills and network with others to find opportunities. This idea of “permanent beta” feels exciting because it means I can always improve. Elder Bednar’s talk also resonated with me. He said I should be faithful and competent, not take the easy path in school or life. This reminds me to work hard and stay true to my values.

I also read about keeping an Entrepreneur’s Journal by Jeff Sandefer. Journaling will help me record lessons and questions, like a mirror that shows my progress. I want to write about what I learn each week to understand myself better. I am looking forward to creating my Life Plan Portfolio, especially the Stars and Steppingstones chart. I hope to discover my calling and take small steps toward it. I am excited to apply these lessons to grow my freight brokerage business by building a strong network and mastering skills to serve my clients better. This week, I feel inspired to be curious, ask “why,” and start my journey with courage.
